The subject identifies what a clause is about. The predicate includes the verb and what is said about the subject.
Find the complete subject by asking who or what the sentence is about. The rest of the clause is the predicate, including the whole phrasal verb and any object. A long subject can include describing words; the first noun is not automatically the whole subject.
