A subject complement describes or identifies the subject after a linking verb. An object complement describes or identifies an object.
After a linking verb, a complement describes the subject rather than receiving an action. After verbs such as make, an object complement describes the object. Compare she is happy with the news made her happy: happy refers to she in the first and her in the second.

Linking verb-ന് ശേഷമുള്ള complement subject-ന്റെ അവസ്ഥയോ തിരിച്ചറിയലോ പറയുന്നു. Make പോലുള്ള verb-ന് ശേഷം object-നെ വിവരിക്കുന്ന complement വരാം. താഴെ ready subject-നെയും happy object ആയ me-യെയും വിവരിക്കുന്നു.

Remember: An adjective complement is not a direct object.
