LESSON 099 · MODALS AND RELATED EXPRESSIONS
Understanding the topic · English notes
Modal + have + past participle expresses a judgement about a past situation. Must have suggests strong deduction; might have suggests possibility.
Use modal + have + past participle to make a deduction about an earlier event. Must have indicates a strong inference, while might have leaves it open. Can't have expresses strong negative inference; mustn't have is not the usual opposite of deductive must have.

കഴിഞ്ഞ സംഭവത്തെ ഊഹിക്കാൻ modal + have + past participle. Must have-ന്റെ സാധാരണ negative deduction can't have ആണ്.
