Must, cannot and might for deduction – Malayalam Notes

Learn must, cannot and might for deduction with English and Malayalam notes, natural examples, phrasal verbs and practice answers.

LESSON 098 · MODALS AND RELATED EXPRESSIONS

Understanding the topic · English notes

Use must for a strong positive deduction, cannot for a strong negative deduction, and might/may/could for uncertain possibilities.

Use must when evidence strongly supports a conclusion, and can't when it strongly rules one out. Might keeps the conclusion uncertain. Deductive must is different from must expressing an obligation; the context tells you which meaning applies.

Use must when evidence strongly supports a conclusion, and can't when it strongly rules one out. Might keeps the conclusion uncertain. Deductive must is different from must expressing an obligation; the context tells you which meaning applies.

തെളിവ് നോക്കി ഉറപ്പോടെ ഊഹിക്കുമ്പോൾ must; അത് സാധ്യമല്ലെന്ന് ഊഹിക്കുമ്പോൾ can't. Might ഉറപ്പില്ലാത്ത സാധ്യതയാണ്. ഇവിടെ must ചെയ്യണം എന്ന നിർബന്ധമല്ല.
