Present perfect continuous foregrounds an activity continuing to now or a recent activity with present evidence. Duration is often important.
Use have/has been + -ing to foreground an activity's duration or recent evidence. Since introduces the starting point and for gives the length of time. The activity may still be happening or may have just stopped; the form alone does not guarantee continuation.

മുമ്പ് തുടങ്ങിയ പ്രവർത്തനത്തിന്റെ തുടർച്ച ഊന്നാൻ have been + ing ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു.
Have/has been + ing പ്രവർത്തനത്തിന്റെ ദൈർഘ്യം ഊന്നുന്നു. Since തുടക്കവും for എത്രനേരം എന്നതും പറയുന്നു. പ്രവർത്തനം ഇപ്പോഴും തുടരുന്നുണ്ടാകാം, അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഇപ്പോൾ അവസാനിച്ചതാകാം; context നോക്കണം.
