Stative meanings describe conditions, beliefs or possession and often avoid continuous forms. Some verbs become dynamic when their meanings change.
Choose according to the meaning in context. Know and belong normally describe states and avoid continuous forms. Think can mean hold an opinion or actively consider something; have can describe possession or an activity such as having lunch.
