Adverb position affects naturalness and sometimes meaning. Manner often follows an object, while frequency commonly precedes a lexical verb.
Put an adverb where its meaning is clear. A manner adverb normally does not separate a verb from its direct object. Moving only can change what is excluded, so consider meaning as well as a remembered position rule.
