LESSON 052 · ADVERBS
Understanding the topic · English notes
Degree adverbs express intensity. Some modify adjectives or adverbs; others modify verbs. Their position and meaning depend on the expression.
Degree words must be placed with the expression they modify. Enough follows an adjective but precedes a noun: warm enough, enough time. Too means more than is suitable, whereas very simply strengthens the description.
