പൊതുവായി plural nouns പറയുമ്പോൾ
“Children need time to play.” — കുട്ടികൾക്ക് കളിക്കാൻ സമയം വേണം. “Books can help us learn.” — പുസ്തകങ്ങൾ പഠിക്കാൻ സഹായിക്കും. ഇവിടെ എല്ലാ കുട്ടികളെയും പുസ്തകങ്ങളെയും പൊതുവായി കാണുന്നു; പ്രത്യേക group നെക്കുറിച്ചല്ല.
“The children in this class are making a poster” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞാൽ ഈ class ലെ പ്രത്യേക കുട്ടികളാണ്. “The books on my desk are new” എന്റെ desk ലെ books ആണ്. അതിനാൽ plural noun ന് the ഒരിക്കലും വരില്ല എന്ന rule തെറ്റാണ്; general ആണോ specific ആണോ എന്ന് നോക്കണം.

Languages ഉം subjects ഉം
“I speak Malayalam.” “She is learning English.” “He studies mathematics.” സാധാരണ language അല്ലെങ്കിൽ subject name ന് article വേണ്ട. “I am learning the English” എന്നതിന് പകരം “I am learning English” എന്ന് പറയൂ.
വാക്കിന്റെ ഉപയോഗം മാറിയാൽ pattern മാറാം: “The English spoken in this video is clear.” ഇവിടെ ഈ video യിലെ പ്രത്യേക English usage ആണ്. ഒരു noun ന് article വേണോ എന്നത് context ൽ നിന്ന് തീരുമാനിക്കണം.
Meals, days, names എന്നിവയിലെ സാധാരണ patterns
“We have breakfast at seven.” — ഞങ്ങൾ ഏഴ് മണിക്ക് breakfast കഴിക്കുന്നു. “I’ll call you on Monday.” — തിങ്കളാഴ്ച വിളിക്കാം. “Anu lives in Kerala.” — അനു കേരളത്തിലാണ് താമസിക്കുന്നത്. ഇത്തരം സാധാരണ ഉപയോഗങ്ങളിൽ article വേണ്ട.
എന്നാൽ “The breakfast at that hotel was excellent” പ്രത്യേക breakfast നെ വിവരിക്കുന്നു. “We had a lovely breakfast” എന്നും പറയാം. Place names എല്ലാം ഒരേ rule പിന്തുടരുന്നില്ല: India, Kerala എന്നിവയ്ക്ക് സാധാരണ article ഇല്ല; the United Kingdom എന്നത് സ്ഥാപിതമായ പേരിന്റെ രൂപമാണ്.
By bus ആണോ on the bus ആണോ
“I go to work by bus” യാത്രാമാർഗം പറയുന്നു. “I left my bag on the bus” bag വെച്ചുപോയ പ്രത്യേക യാത്രയിലെ bus നെ പറയുന്നു. By train, by car, by air എന്നിവയും സാധാരണ travel patterns ആണ്. നടക്കുന്നത് “on foot” എന്നാണ്.
“At school”, “at work”, “at home” പോലുള്ള expressions മുഴുവനായി പഠിക്കാം. “The school near my house” എന്നത് ഒരു പ്രത്യേക സ്ഥാപനമോ കെട്ടിടമോ ആണ്. “I go to school” സാധാരണ വിദ്യാർത്ഥിയായി പഠിക്കാൻ പോകുന്നതിനെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കും; “I went to the school to meet the teacher” ഒരു പ്രത്യേക school ലേക്കുള്ള സന്ദർശനം ആകാം.
Article വിട്ടുപോകരുതാത്ത സ്ഥലം
Zero article പഠിച്ചതുകൊണ്ട് എല്ലാ a/an ഉം ഒഴിവാക്കരുത്. സാധാരണ singular countable noun ന് ഒരു determiner ആവശ്യമാണ്: “I need a pen”, “I need the pen”, “I need my pen.” “I need pen” standard English ൽ സാധാരണ ശരിയല്ല.
