Simple present: പതിവുകളും പൊതുവായ കാര്യങ്ങളും
“I take the bus to work.” — ഞാൻ ജോലിക്ക് bus ൽ പോകാറുണ്ട്. “My daughter reads before bed.” — എന്റെ മകൾ ഉറങ്ങുന്നതിന് മുമ്പ് വായിക്കാറുണ്ട്. Every day, usually, often എന്നീ വാക്കുകൾ habit വ്യക്തമാക്കാം; അവ ഇല്ലാതെയും simple present പതിവ് സൂചിപ്പിക്കാം.

“I am learning to drive” ഒരു കാലയളവിൽ തുടരുന്ന പഠനത്തെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കാം. അത് പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ driving lesson നടക്കണം എന്നില്ല. അതിനാൽ continuous എന്നാൽ കണ്ണിന് മുമ്പിൽ ഈ നിമിഷം നടക്കുന്ന action മാത്രം എന്ന് ചുരുക്കരുത്.
