In, on and at express different relationships of time and place. Choose them according to the intended relationship and familiar usage.
For place, in often means inside an area, on means on a surface, and at treats a location as a point or activity setting. For time, use at with clock times, on with days/dates, and in with months/years. Say in the morning but at night; next Monday usually needs no preposition.
