LESSON 153 · CLAUSES
Understanding the topic · English notes
Adverbial time and place clauses locate events relative to another situation. Their linking words determine the relationship, not merely the verb form.
A time/place clause explains when or where the main event happens. Use the conjunction to show the intended relation: before, after, whenever or wherever. Future time clauses commonly use present forms even when the main clause uses will.
