“The office sent the forms yesterday” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞാൽ office ആണ് വാക്യത്തിന്റെ തുടക്കത്തിൽ. “The forms were sent yesterday” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞാൽ forms നാണ് പ്രാധാന്യം. സംഭവം ഒന്നുതന്നെ. കേൾക്കുന്നയാൾ ആദ്യം എന്തറിയണം എന്നതനുസരിച്ച് active അല്ലെങ്കിൽ passive തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കാം.
ചെയ്യുന്നയാളെ മുന്നിൽ വെക്കാൻ active
“Anu packed the books.” — അനു പുസ്തകങ്ങൾ പായ്ക്ക് ചെയ്തു. ആര് ചെയ്തു എന്നത് പറയേണ്ടപ്പോൾ ഈ ക്രമം നേരിട്ടും വ്യക്തവുമാണ്. “I’ll send you the notes tonight” എന്നത് ഒരു വാഗ്ദാനം പറയാനുള്ള സ്വാഭാവിക രൂപമാണ്. ആരാണ് അയയ്ക്കുക എന്ന് വ്യക്തമാകുന്നു.
ചെയ്ത കാര്യത്തിന് ഊന്നൽ നൽകാൻ passive
“The books were packed this morning.” — പുസ്തകങ്ങൾ ഇന്ന് രാവിലെ പായ്ക്ക് ചെയ്തു. ആരാണ് പായ്ക്ക് ചെയ്തത് എന്ന് ഇവിടെ പറയുന്നില്ല. ആ വിവരം അറിയില്ലെങ്കിലോ പ്രസക്തിയില്ലെങ്കിലോ passive സഹായിക്കും. “The shop was opened by my aunt” എന്നതിൽ by my aunt ചേർത്താൽ ചെയ്തയാളെയും പറയാം.
Be + past participle
Simple present ൽ “The team checks the forms every morning” → “The forms are checked every morning.” Simple past ൽ “Someone checked the form yesterday” → “The form was checked yesterday.” Be verb ആണ് tense ഉം subject ന്റെ എണ്ണവും കാണിക്കുന്നത്. Main verb past participle രൂപത്തിൽ വരും.
“Someone has written the notice” → “The notice has been written.” “They will deliver the parcel tomorrow” → “The parcel will be delivered tomorrow.” Written എന്നത് write ന്റെ past participle ആണ്. Wrote എന്നത് simple past ആണ്.
എപ്പോൾ മാറ്റാൻ കഴിയില്ല?
“She arrived at six” എന്ന വാക്യത്തിൽ arrived ന് ഒരു object ഇല്ല. സാധാരണ “She was arrived at six” എന്ന് മാറ്റാൻ കഴിയില്ല. At six സമയം വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്ന phrase ആണ്. “Someone repaired the fan” എന്നതിൽ the fan object ആണ്. അതിനെ “The fan was repaired” എന്ന് മുന്നിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുവരാം.

- The librarian opens the reading room at nine. Reading room ന് ഊന്നൽ നൽകൂ.
- Someone broke the window yesterday. ചെയ്തയാളെ പറയാതെ എഴുതൂ.
- The office will email the results tomorrow. Results ആദ്യം പറയൂ.
ഉത്തരങ്ങൾ. 1. The reading room is opened at nine. 2. The window was broken yesterday. 3. The results will be emailed tomorrow.

Passive sentence ൽ by വേണമോ? ചെയ്യുന്നയാളെ വ്യക്തമാക്കണമെങ്കിൽ മാത്രം സാധാരണ ചേർക്കാം. “The parcel was delivered at noon” പൂർണ്ണ വാക്യമാണ്.
“The door is closed” passive ആണോ? അത് “വാതിൽ അടഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്ന അവസ്ഥയും സൂചിപ്പിക്കാം. “The door is closed by the guard at six” എന്നതിൽ guard ചെയ്യുന്ന പ്രവൃത്തി വ്യക്തമാണ്.
